Welcome to BURNCO’s Highway 16 North Project website. We created this site with one purpose: to provide local residents and stakeholders with a single resource for news and information about our project.
Our commitment is to keep this site up-to-date and to present the facts using plain language. As this project moves through the regulatory process, we will continually seek your input while we develop our plans and, looking ahead, rehabilitate the site in the best possible manner.

We received renewal for our three existing development permits in addition to a development permit for the Silt storage area. The permits and conditions of the permits can be viewed by clicking here.
On June 1, 2011 we received our pit registration under the code of practice, an approval for the amended end pit lake and water licence, and an approval to divert water into the Bellhouse drainage course. View the approvals by clicking here.
